If you would like to stay outside Kardamyli or are unable to find the perfect accommodation within Kardamyli village, there are some very pretty villages close by which are worth investigating. For example:
Kalamitsi – just 1 km from Kardamyli, where Patrick and Joan Leigh Fermor lived. Lovely quiet beach. Kalamitsi Hotel good base for example.
Stoupa – 12 minute drive from Kardamyli. Charming seaside village with pretty sea front, 2 beautiful long sandy beaches and lots of tavernas.
Aghios Nikolaos – 15 minute drive from Kardamyli. Pretty fishing village with good tavernas.
Kitries – 35 minute drive from Kardamyli. Fishing village with pebbly beach and 3 good tavernas on the beach with sun loungers and shade.
Exohori – 15 minute drive from Kardamyli. Beautiful mountain village.
Proastio – 10 minute drive from Kardamyli. Traditional mountain village overlooking the sea.
