The David Nott Foundation
This year, the festival supported the David Nott Foundation, a humanitarian organisation dedicated to helping those who are injured in the many intractable conflicts raging across our world. David Nott, who spoke at the festival, has thirty years’ experience as a humanitarian surgeon on the front line and his experience has been distilled into a surgical training programme which equips doctors with the knowledge they need to manage a vast array of injuries faced in conflict, creating a global network of highly-trained healthcare workers who can also share that knowledge with their peers.
