The festival begins on Thursday evening with sunset drinks at Patrick Leigh Fermor’s House and ends with the fabulous Police Dog Hogan live at the festival site on Monday night.

The David Nott Foundation

The year the festival will be supporting the David Nott Foundation, a humanitarian organisation dedicated to helping those who are injured in the many intractable conflicts raging across our world. David Nott, who will be speaking at the festival on Monday, has thirty years’ experience as a humanitarian surgeon on the front line and his experience has been distilled into a surgical training programme which equips doctors with the knowledge they need to manage a vast array of injuries faced in conflict, creating a global network of highly-trained healthcare workers who can also share that knowledge with their peers. There will be a stand at the festival with more information about the foundation and David and his wife Elly will be happy to answer any questions.

The most appropriate and romantic place for a literary festival that I have ever stayed." — Tom Holland
